Days Until Our Wedding
Morgan:
Our first date was to Lyle's tavern in Maryville because we hadn't met each other in person yet and I wanted to be in my comfort zone in case it didn't go well. It was July of 2018 and I was nervous but I kinda felt relaxed for some reason.
Dan:
Lyle's in summer 2018. She was pretty and easy to talk to. Wanted to have a more traditional date shortly into it so I could get to know her better and on a more personal level.
First Date
Morgan:
I had suspicion with Briley dropping hints left and right. I kinda thought it was coming but wasn't positive. When we went down to the beach in the morning to pick our spots and put our chairs up, my mom and Kim and Teri and Pete came down shortly after and I thought that was weird because we were coming right back up to go to the store to buy our Rum and Pineapple juice for the day. Plus my mom was making a video which wasn't too out of the ordinary but I shrugged it off. So I started putting sunscreen on Briley and when Teri said my name I turned around and Dan was on one knee holding out this ring with a grin that was from ear to ear. My reaction was "What is that?". After barely getting the words out "will you marry me?" with his voice trembling, I quickly said yes. Then of course we celebrated with food, drinks and the beach!
Dan:
Nervous and excited cause I planned it over a few months and was so ready to see her face and surprise her. I had her family and mine there on the beach. I think she had a hunch but she didn't show it.
